Nature’s remedy for unwanted plants.

What is Goatscaping?

The term "goatscaping" means grazing goats to manage vegetation growth in an environmentally sound manner. Goatscaping greatly reduces the use of toxic herbicides, and because the goat digestive process effectively sterilizes seeds and reproductive plant matter, they are an ideal treatment for invasive plants. Let’s Goat Buffalo offers grazing services within suburban, urban and rural environments. Whether it's a small plot that needs to be cleared, a commercial property that has become overgrown and high-risk, or a park that has become less accessible to the public, our herd is prepared to help!

Why?

Long Term Results.

When goats eat, they sterilize seeds and plant reproductive material during the ruminant digestive process. Repeated grazing naturally breaks the re-growth cycle of problem plants.

No Pollutants.

Using goats to clear stubborn invasive brush avoids the use of pesticides and pollutants, while also eliminating the need for non-sustainable fuels.

Cost Effective.

Goats easily work in many areas, particularly unsafe for man-power. We use no heavy equipment, which makes our goats the most economical choice for most jobs. Since goatscaping is more effective long-term, our herd saves you money over time.

Low Carbon Footprint.

Goats do not produce large amounts of methane, unlike other large livestock. They leave behind a near-odorless fertilizer that allows native plants and grasses to thrive.

Habitat Protection.

Our goats eat around birds nests, avoid leaves containing a cocoon or chrysalis, and allow animals like turtles, toads and small mammals to move out of the way. Traditional landscaping destroys habitat and often kills these creatures.

Poison Ivy and other irritants.

Goats love to munch on poison ivy and other plants that are problematic for humans to handle. Goats do not have a reaction to these plants, and can quickly remove them.
